Clue

A logo and marks system for Clue, built around a single premise clarity should feel like discovery, not instruction. The identity distills the brand into a confident, geometric wordmark paired with a family of modular marks that adapt across contexts while reading as one voice. Restraint carries the system: a tight grid, deliberate spacing, and a monochrome base let the mark hold presence without ornament, so every application feels intentional, legible, and unmistakably Clue.

The Clue wordmark begins with the word's own origin clew, a ball of thread and compresses it into a single unbroken stroke that runs from first mark to last. The line that starts at the C carries through to the final stroke without breaking once, translating into form the experience of a coffee chat: scattered questions unraveling into a single conversation, and at its end, the thread of an answer in hand.

Held at a constant weight, the monoline preserves the warmth of handwriting while staying disciplined not an amateur's loose script, but one deliberately refined stroke striking a balance that reads casual without forfeiting trust. The tail of the e extends gently outward and resolves into a single dot: the point where the unspooling thread finally arrives, the place where two people sitting in different positions find their conversations overlapping, and, at the same time, the signal that a clue has been found.

Three layers of meaning meeting, connection, discovery condense into this one small dot, reframed not as a period closing a sentence but as the point where a conversation begins. Smallest in scale yet most precise in what it says about the service, the final dot carries directly into the UI as a loading indicator, a pin on a map, a matching signal.
