Jay-Jay Club: Retro Football Culture
Jay-Jay is a retro football community, named for Okocha, that produces articles, podcasts, and videos celebrating the 80s, 90s, and 2000s golden era and treating players as artists.
Target Audience: Men 30–50 who are nostalgic for 80s–00s football. They are creative professionals who demand high-quality aesthetics and in-depth storytelling, favoring long reads, podcasts, and visually engaging content.
Vision: Our core goal is to rescue and celebrate football's beautiful, authentic side (stories and memories) by standing against modern football's flaws (money-driven, generic content). We aim to restore sincerity, character, and realness.
Mission: To become the global reference point for nostalgic football lovers: a creative and emotional home. Our goal is to build a community, not just an audience, by fostering meaningful sharing and user engagement once our base is established.

Challenge

Jay-Jay needed a brand identity that captured the nostalgia and community spirit of retro football culture. The challenge was to build a visual system that felt both classic and modern, something that spoke to die-hard fans while still feeling fresh and inclusive for new audiences.
The identity had to translate across social media, merchandise, and event materials, celebrating football as a shared experience of passion, friendship, and belonging. The goal was to bring back the soul of the game. not just the sport, but the culture around it.
