Carrington isn't just a barber shop, it's a family tradition built by Gerry Carrington (Gerard Carrington). Here, men of good character and Catholic faith find not just haircuts and beard trims, but a premium service that values them and cultivates personal growth.
The Challenge:
Our mission is to create a new brand identity – Carrington – that reflects the unique character of Gerry's business. The logo needs to capture a classic, masculine, and traditional vibe, while also highlighting the family-oriented, prestigious feel of the experience.
Key Ingredients:
Heritage: Gerry's family name, Carrington, will become the brand name.
Faith: We need to subtly integrate a reference to Mother Mary, perhaps through a symbol or design element.
Premium Experience: The logo should evoke a sense of luxury and high-end service.
Miraculous Medal: Gerry wants to incorporate the miraculous medal in the design in a way that's both respectful and visually appealing.
Hurdle:
Remember that unique Instagram encounter back in March? You initially contacted me for business cards, but we discovered duplicate logos – a common issue in the design industry. By pivoting to a full rebrand, we can ensure Carrington stands out from the competition and builds a truly unforgettable brand identity.
The Opportunity:
This project goes beyond a logo. It's a chance to create a strong visual foundation for Carrington's brand. This new identity will attract the ideal customer – men and boys who seek a special, value-driven grooming experience.
