Sotiris Iliadis

A luxury coffee boutique in Thessaloniki needed its menu to feel as considered as the room it lives in - and to work for every guest, in two languages, on the phone in their hand.

The problem

Printed menus go stale the moment a price changes, and most "digital menu" QR links open a slow PDF that ignores half the people trying to read it. The brief was a menu that matched a premium dark interior, switched cleanly between Greek and English, and stayed fast and legible for everyone - including guests using a screen reader or high-contrast settings.

The process

Designed dark-first in Figma, treating contrast as a constraint from the first frame rather than a final check - every text and background pair was chosen to clear WCAG 2.1 AA, not just to look good.
Built the EL/EN language switch as a first-class part of the experience, so nothing reads like a machine-translated afterthought.
Shipped it as an installable PWA, so a guest can add it to their home screen and it loads instantly on the next visit, even on a weak connection.
Stack: React and Tailwind, deployed on Cloudflare Pages.

The result

94/100 Lighthouse
Zero WCAG 2.1 AA violations on handoff
Fully bilingual (Greek / English)
Installable, offline-capable PWA
A real menu for a real client - proof that accessibility and a premium aesthetic are the same job, not a trade-off.
