In the dynamic landscape of gift card commerce, merchants often face operational challenges that hinder their ability to scale and provide optimal service to customers. The current procurement process for gift cards is cumbersome, involving multiple intermediaries and manual integration efforts. Additionally, limited delivery options restrict merchants from reaching a broader customer base, impacting the potential for increased sales and profitability. There is a clear need for a comprehensive solution that streamlines the purchase process, offers diverse delivery channels, and simplifies API integrations, empowering merchants to efficiently manage and grow their gift card businesses. The Sosogame code web app aims to address these pain points and revolutionize the gift card industry by providing a seamless and user-friendly platform for merchants.

After receiving the product brief and requirements from the team at SOSO Game Codes, I defined the key features that needed to be designed for.

A straightforward and user-friendly way to purchase gift cards for games, iOS and Android devices.

A Web App that delivers the purchased codes through multiple options (Email, SMS & WhatsApp).

API integrations for merchants to connect their external platforms to enable remote gift card purchase.

I went ahead to draft a user persona for the typical user type on the app. A Merchant.

Defining the app colours to give life to the the merchant web app.

I designed a simple flow to capture merchant details and create a virtual account for ease of transaction processes.

I designed a dashboard that offers vital details at a glance for the merchant. The merchant can view transactions, wallets, orders, purchases, and virtual account details all in one place.

Purchasing gift cards is the primary goal for merchants using this app, hence, I designed a simple flow for purchasing gift cards, assigning delivery channels to each product. I borrowed brilliance from conventional e-commerce product views and cart details to reduce the cognitive load on users by providing them with a view that they have interacted with before.

Providing the merchants a simple and easy way to integrate to external systems through API Keys and a downloadable WordPress plugin.
