Background

Redesigning business onboarding for scale

Thepeer is a wallet payments infrastructure company that allows businesses pay and get paid without the need for a card. With Thepeer’s payment SDKs, customers of different fintech businesses can make payment directly from their wallet irrespective of inter-bank settlement downtime. As the business scaled and started processing high volume transactions, its onboarding experience needed to be re-modelled.
I was the lead researcher for this project alongside a team of seven(7) people consisting of a product manager, a UI designer, compliance, a content writer, one front end engineer and two backend engineers.
My role as the lead researcher involved reviewing internal data, engaging providers and talking to customers.
This included video interviews, phone calls and a trip to our provider’s office in London.
