I did some Benchmark by exploring the handbooks style of other companies. I wrote a list of main features that we need. I sketching some wireframe and after some review with the Development Team I started to design Interfaces.

📁 Research

At this stage I spent time analyzing the work of other companies regarding handbooks

Structure

With post it notes, I defined what information we were to include inside. Based on the amount of content we needed to find a design that met this need.

Benchmark

Any handbook or website with a structure that suited us was posted here with direct links (not to be underestimated, it saves time and makes the job easier for other team members!) and some annotations.

🕹 Playground

After finishing the Discovery phase and meeting with the development team for some feedback, I started to create wireframes.

Wireframes

Obviously, the product follows a user-centered design, and this means that most of the energy was devoted to finding the best way to make the handbook an easy-to-use, satisfying, and efficient product.
Thus taking into account that the user in question is a new employee, I thought of a quick and intuitive navigation system.

High-Fidelity Design

After several meetings with the development team, we found the best way to navigate and now all we needed to do was to agree on the style to give the product, following what are the brand colors

✅ Design ready to implement

Desktop 1440, 1280 and Tablet 1024
Tablet 768 and Mobile
The product has been built following the grids, the dimensions and distances are faithful, and everything has been implemented by the developers flawlessly.

😊 Considerations

I was very happy to collaborate with Indomio to create this product, I applied the principles of User Centered Design, and I am sure the new employees will feel warmly welcomed by the company!
Since this is an internal product, I am unable to share the link.
