Hijr | Separation is a short film I wrote, produced, and directed. Since it was made on a small budget, I had the privilege of taking on many roles to make it a success. It has won over 50 awards in various film festivals worldwide. It is also mentioned in the book Short Films - A Non-Exhaustive List of Highly Creative Shorts, which is available on Amazon.
The story delves into the loss of a family member, the circumstances that led to the tragedy, and how the surviving family deals with it internally.
Released in 2021, the film was produced under the banner of an artistic company I created, The Cheeni Chronicles.
