Pippi Ki Kahani - The Stories of Pippi

I was the Director of the project, and during the post-production of the project, I oversaw the editing and assisted with the sound design for sound effects for this project.

Pippi Ki Kahani or the Stories of Pippi is a dramatic reading series for children in Urdu. The series follows 10 adventures of Pippi Longstocking, the popular character created by Astrid Lindgren in 1947.

The Urdu version of the stories was presented to OLOMOPOLO Media by the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan. I directed the dramatic readings and worked on the sound design for the final videos.

Pakistan's veteran actors Sania Saeed, Samiya Mumtaz, and Nadia Afgan were joined with critically acclaimed, Fawad Khan and TV personality Mina Malik-Hussain as they each read 2 stories about this quirky, energetic and fascinating girl. The series was also the first time in Pakistan that a children's program was interpreted into Pakistan Sign Language so that children with hearing impairments could also enjoy these stories.

The first episode of the stories went live in August 2021 on the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan's Facebook page.
