Night Ride Cinematic
Clients: Zauber × VicFixGif
Project: Fixie Night Ride
Role: Creative Direction · Video Production · Video Editing · Color Grading
A cinematic collaboration featuring two fixie riders exploring the city at night, with the bikes and the atmosphere becoming part of the story.
The Challenge
How do you make a simple night ride feel cinematic?
The goal was to capture a casual ride between two creators and turn it into a stylish, atmospheric piece of content that highlights both the riders and their fixies.
The Approach
Two Riders. One City. After Dark.
Rather than treating the ride as a simple cycling video, I focused on the relationship between the riders, their bikes, and the city at night.
Developed the visual concept and shot sequence
Directed the shoot and camera movement
Set up lighting and camera angles
Captured riding sequences and bike details
Used cinematic pacing and music to build the atmosphere
Finished with color grading to establish the night-time mood
The visual direction stayed simple and atmospheric, letting the movement, city lights, and bikes carry the story.
The Result
A cinematic collaboration that brought Zauber and VicFixGif together through their shared fixie culture, creating a stylish piece that could be shared across their community.
