I built Wingman to put AI-assisted writing directly inside the conversations people are already having on iPhone and iPad.
The problem
Getting help with a reply can mean leaving a conversation, copying context into another app, and switching back to send the message. The product challenge was to make that help feel like part of the typing experience.
What I built
Wingman combines a customizable keyboard with contextual reply generation for messaging and dating conversations.
An AI keyboard extension for writing replies in place
Photo and screenshot input to provide conversation context
Seven reply types and six tones to shape suggestions
Multilingual replies and nine keyboard layouts
Autocorrect and adjustable keyboard settings for everyday typing
Product approach
The keyboard is the main interaction surface. Users can choose the kind of reply and tone they want, add context, and work with suggestions without moving to a separate writing workflow.
My role and result
Creator and developer. I brought Wingman to the App Store as an AI-enabled mobile product, combining a keyboard extension, contextual inputs, and controls that let users shape the output. It is a portfolio example of integrating AI into a familiar, everyday interface.
