Himdy Law
The Problem
Himdy Law's existing site was an AI-generated template hosted on Manus. It was static, had no CMS, and looked exactly what it was: a placeholder. The layout was generic, the design lacked any real brand identity, and there was no way for the team to update content themselves. For a firm competing with established City practices on high-stakes commercial matters, the site was actively undermining their credibility.
They needed a complete rebuild: a clean, premium website with CMS functionality so they could manage practice areas and content independently, and a design that communicated the same level of professionalism clients would experience working with the firm directly.
The Approach
I designed and developed a full Webflow CMS site from scratch, treating the old template as a content reference point rather than a design starting point.
Visual authority, completely reimagined. The old site used a standard light layout with stock imagery and numbered lists. I stripped that back entirely and built a dark, premium design system with custom iconography, considered typography, and cinematic imagery. The visual language shifted from "we have a website" to "we handle serious work."
CMS architecture for long-term independence. The old site was completely static. Every edit required going back to the tool that generated it. I built each of the six practice areas as Webflow CMS collection items with dedicated pages, custom SVG icons, and structured content fields. The firm can now add, edit, or reorder practice areas without touching code.
Smarter conversion design. The template had two generic buttons ("Our Practice" and "Contact Us") and a single CTA at the bottom. The new site builds trust in layers: a Trustpilot 5-star badge in the hero, a founder quote establishing philosophy, a "Why clients choose us" section with real photography, and an interactive AI-style chat prompt ("Make me a legal plan," "Review my contract") that adds a modern, approachable touch. Every section funnels toward booking a call.
From static text to storytelling. The old site listed practice areas as plain text cards. The new site uses tabbed navigation with custom illustrations, dedicated CMS pages per practice area, and video backgrounds that bring the brand to life.
Tools Used
Figma for UI design
Webflow for CMS development and hosting
The Results
A complete transformation from an AI-generated placeholder to a premium, CMS-driven law firm website
Full content independence for the Himdy Law team to manage practice areas and updates
A site that positions the firm credibly alongside larger City competitors
A trust-building conversion architecture designed to turn visitors into consultation bookings
Key Takeaway
An AI-generated template might get you online, but it won't get you taken seriously. For a boutique law firm competing on trust and expertise, the gap between a placeholder site and a purpose-built one is the gap between being overlooked and being shortlisted. Himdy Law's new site doesn't just look better. It works like the firm does: precise, considered, and built to earn confidence from the first interaction.
