I was contracted by Brain Builders to design a high-impact report for Meta, tackling the critical issue of misinformation in East Africa. Focusing on Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, the report dives into the widespread impact of misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech on public health, political stability, and social cohesion. It highlights the role of instigators, intermediaries, and fact-checking allies in the region's complex misinformation ecosystem, underscoring collaborative efforts with Meta to advance digital literacy and counter false information.

In partnership with content editors and strategists, I was entrusted with transforming this intricate research into a visually engaging and accessible report that commands attention. My work involved crafting clear infographics, impactful charts, and customized visuals that communicated key insights effectively. Each design element was tailored for both print and digital formats, aligning seamlessly with Meta’s brand and the NGO’s mission to combat misinformation.

For this project, I delivered a suite of carefully designed assets, from data visualizations to layout designs, bringing the NGO’s mission to life and driving engagement across audiences. The report has since become an essential tool for Meta and Brain Builders, facilitating constructive dialogues among stakeholders, raising awareness, and supporting evidence-based strategies to fight misinformation in East Africa. This project’s success reinforced the value of strategic design in addressing pressing global issues and furthered Meta’s commitment to social responsibility.
