Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Clarke Bridges to speak at Charlotte Bobcats home stadium
Who: Clarke Bridges is a baseball player who was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in
recognition of his accomplishments in the league in 2005. Bridges displays remarkable
leadership, innovation, and creativity throughout his career, encouraging others around
him to strive for excellence. His enthusiasm for baseball has also led him to get active in
many charitable endeavors, allowing him to make an impact on the community.
What: The Charlotte Bobcats baseball team is hosting an outdoor family event in partnership
with Habitat for Humanity. Bridges will deliver a speech to Bobcats fans speaking about
the effects of housing insecurity being witnessed in the Charlotte community. There will
be opportunities to photograph and videotape families enjoying the event at our photo
stations. There will be food vendors as well as outdoor games for families. Interviews with
Charlotte Bobcats players and Habitat for Humanity representatives will also be
conducted prior to the event.
