This title sequence was crafted for 5 O’Clock Shadows, a horror film set in the eerie space between late afternoon and early evening. The concept explores that fleeting moment when everything begins to blur—shapes, thoughts, memories.
I focused on building an atmosphere that felt disorienting yet intimate, using motion design and compositing to layer textures and shadows, adding weight and a sense of unease.
Close collaboration with the director ensured the sequence matched the film’s tone and visual rhythm.
These moodboards explore the visual and conceptual language behind a disturbing and spiritually charged title sequence. Developed as the first step in the workflow, they were created in close collaboration with the film’s director to ensure the tone and vision were aligned from the start. Each panel serves as a building block toward an atmosphere of dread and supernatural unease.
