Emanuel and Cassie, the founders of Piston DAO, an innovative web3 startup, approached me. Piston DAO is revolutionizing the collector cars market by fractionalizing ownership of rare, high-value vehicles, ensuring their safekeeping, and offering accessibility to its community. As they geared up for their Series Pre-Seed fundraising, they sought my expertise to optimize their pitch deck and investment case to attract potential investors.

My task was to overhaul Piston DAO's pitch deck, which was initially verbose and abstract, lacking clarity on key aspects like the product description, monetization strategy, market size, and competitive landscape. The goal was to transform this document into a concise, compelling narrative that clearly communicated the startup's vision, mission, and strategy.

I began with a thorough review of the pitch deck, providing both strategic and tactical advice to refine their investment case. The focus was on aligning the pitch with what venture capital investors look for in a promising startup: a bold vision, scalable technology, clear progress, strong founder-market fit, and a justified funding request.

Several meetings with Emanuel and Cassie followed, where I gave live feedback on their deck revisions. With each iteration, the pitch deck and investment thesis saw tangible improvements. We concluded our collaboration with a pitch simulation, where they presented to me as if I were an investor. This exercise allowed me to provide realistic feedback on their pitch and presentation skills, preparing them for actual investor meetings.
