AI Promo Video - Turning Abandoned Carts into Revenue
Originally scoped as a live-action stop-motion piece, this product film needed to be delivered under tight time and budget constraints. I proposed an AI-led production pipeline and developed the visual direction as a low-poly 3D cinematic world.
Creative Direction
The goal was to humanize Markopolo’s AI intelligence through a relatable story, a shopper who abandons her cart and is re-engaged contextually.
The low-poly 3D treatment allowed me to:
Simplify complex AI behavior visually
Maintain brand warmth
Avoid the cost of physical production or 3D modelling
Execution
Concept & Scene Development: Key visual frames were initially generated using Midjourney, crafted to emulate a low-poly 3D aesthetic. To achieve additional camera coverage while maintaining character and environmental consistency, scenes were regenerated and expanded using Nano Banana.
Refinement & Visual Control: Lighting, texture detailing, and compositional balance were refined in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring visual cohesion and production-level polish across all sequences.
AI-Driven Motion: Motion sequences were generated using Midjourney Video and Google Veo, introducing cinematic camera movement, depth, and lighting dynamics that enhanced the stylized low-poly 3D aesthetic while maintaining visual consistency across scenes.
Motion Graphics Integration: Supporting product messaging and callouts were storyboarded and designed in Adobe Illustrator, then animated in Adobe After Effects, maintaining clarity and structural precision.
Post-Production: Editing, pacing, AI-generated voiceover (via ElevenLabs), and sound design were completed in Adobe Premiere Pro, delivering a confident, category-defining final promo video.
Result
The promo video stood apart from conventional SaaS motion promos. Rather than relying on generic dashboards and feature callouts, it delivered a fun, engaging narrative that translated complex AI capabilities into a relatable, story-driven experience.
