Overview

Hosted at Dhaka’s Bashundhara Cricket Ground, the Let’s Vibe Art & Music Festival drew over 12,000 attendees during its two-day run in April 2024. The festival’s second day was headlined by Atif Aslam, marking his highly anticipated return to Bangladesh after more than a decade, making the event a landmark celebration of music and creative culture.

Role & Collaboration

I was commissioned by the event management team to design and animate the entire motion system for the festival, working closely with their marketing team to translate their in-house design illustrations into motion. Alongside on-site visuals, I created a comprehensive suite of promotional assets, including paid media campaigns, Instagram reels, and artist-focused content.

Approach & Execution

The brand identity featured a wide range of intricate visual elements. From hand-drawn icons to layered illustrations, which were each animated individually to create a cohesive motion language. To align with the festival’s art-centric theme, I used a stop-motion-inspired, low-FPS animation style combined with paper textures to give the visuals a handcrafted, organic feel. This tactile aesthetic carried across all materials, from stage visuals and large-format screens to promotional reels and digital ads, ensuring the brand’s artistic spirit was at the forefront.

Instagram Reels

For the Let’s Vibe Art & Music Festival, I created a series of Instagram reels for all performing artists, designed to build excitement and drive audience engagement ahead of the event. Each reel featured custom motion graphics, artist branding, and dynamic edits that matched the unique style of each performer. These short-form videos were optimized for social reach and mobile viewing, helping the festival’s social channels gain traction, increase ticket interest, and create a strong digital presence leading up to the live performances.

Artist Promotions

To build anticipation ahead of the festival, I designed a series of artist reveal promotions that were shared directly with each performer to post on their own social channels. Each reveal was tailored to the artist’s style while maintaining the festival’s cohesive branding. By empowering artists to announce their participation, these assets created organic hype and extended the festival’s reach across multiple audiences, turning every artist’s platform into a promotional channel.

Impact

The motion system became a defining part of the festival’s atmosphere, making the art-focused branding come alive on-site and online. The tactile design approach and stop-motion style helped the visuals stand out, creating a memorable and cohesive experience for attendees. The promotional content drove strong pre-event engagement, contributing to the festival’s reputation as one of Dhaka’s standout music and arts events.
