Goal The objective of this project was to challenge myself by creating a luxury fragrance product animation. I chose the Scent of Africa fragrance because of its exquisite design and unique cultural significance. As a product originating from Ghana, Africa, I wanted to showcase its beauty and heritage to a global audience through this animation.

Challenges While initially appearing simple to model, the fragrance’s unique African map-inspired cover posed unexpected challenges:

Complex modelling: The intricate design of the cover required careful planning and execution to replicate its distinctive shape accurately.

Approach To address these challenges, I:

Began by studying the map of Africa to establish the outline and used it as a base for modelling the cover.

Applied detailed 3D modelling techniques to achieve an accurate and visually appealing representation of the product’s unique design.

Ensured all other elements of the fragrance bottle aligned with its luxurious aesthetic.

Blender: Used for 3D modelling and animation to bring the product to life.

Photoshop: Designed custom labels and textures to enhance realism and highlight the product’s premium feel.

After Effects: Edited and composited the animation to ensure a seamless and engaging visual narrative.

Focused on timing and pacing to captivate viewers and maintain their engagement throughout the animation.

Results The result is a stunning 3D animation that celebrates the luxury and unique design of the Scent of Africa fragrance. The animation effectively highlights the product’s cultural significance and exquisite craftsmanship, offering a compelling visual experience.

Conclusion This project significantly improved my 3D modeling and animation skills, particularly in tackling complex designs. It was an enriching experience that deepened my appreciation for luxury product visualization and my commitment to creating visually striking animations. The project stands as a testament to my ability to creatively overcome challenges and deliver high-quality results.
