Alma Home – Luxury Bedding Ad Campaign for the Kuwait Market

Alma Home is a Kuwait-based luxury sleep brand offering premium bamboo bedding designed to transform how people experience rest. They needed a high-performing ad campaign that could break through the noise of social media feeds while respecting local cultural nuances and driving conversions in a competitive e-commerce market.

The brief

Alma Home came to me needing scroll-stopping Meta ads that could do three things at once: look unmistakably luxurious, respect Kuwait's cultural sensibilities, and actually convert viewers into customers. They also needed Arabic variations that felt natural, not just translated, for their Kuwait audience.
The challenge was creating something that would make someone stop mid-scroll, communicate premium quality instantly, and give them a reason to click through. All while maintaining that delicate balance between aspirational and accessible.

Understanding the market & audience

Before touching design software, I spent time on Alma Home's website and researching the Kuwait luxury market. A few things became clear:
Kuwait's e-commerce shoppers are sophisticated. They know quality when they see it, and they're not impressed by flashy gimmicks. The culture values elegance, cleanliness, and subtlety. Over-designed or aggressive marketing doesn't land well here.
For the Arabic ads, I had to think beyond translation. Arabic reads right-to-left, which changes visual hierarchy completely. Typography needs more breathing room. Cultural references to sleep, comfort, and home carry different weight. Even color psychology shifts slightly in Middle Eastern markets.
Alma Home's product (100% bamboo viscose sheets) is genuinely premium. The ads needed to reflect that without feeling stuffy or inaccessible. Think luxury hotel vibes, not untouchable high fashion.

The creative strategy

I developed the campaign around three core principles:
Luxury through restraint – No busy layouts or competing visual elements. Clean compositions with plenty of negative space. Let the product photography and elegant typography do the heavy lifting.
Problem-solution storytelling – Instead of just showing beautiful sheets, I focused on the pain points: waking up hot and sweaty, tossing and turning, feeling exhausted despite sleeping. Then positioned Alma Home's bamboo sheets as the solution.
Localized authenticity – The Arabic ads weren't just translations. I reworked layouts for right-to-left reading patterns, used culturally appropriate imagery of rest and home life, and made sure the messaging hit the same emotional notes in Arabic that it did in English.

Design execution

First batch – 12 static ad designs

I created 12 Meta ad variations across different angles and formats:
Promotional ads, Product education ads, Problem-agitation ads, Luxury positioning ads, Feature-focused ads etc
Each ad followed Alma Home's minimal aesthetic, muted earth tones, generous white space, and typography that felt refined but readable. The Arabic versions maintained visual consistency while respecting cultural design preferences.

Motion ads – 4 animated video concepts

For the second phase, I created 4 motion ad/Reels variations to test video performance against static images:
The motion work added dimension without being distracting. Every animation served a purpose whether revealing product benefits, creating emotional connection, or simply making the ad feel more premium in the feed.

The tools & process

Design: Figma for layouts and static ad design
Video generation: HeyGen for realistic bedroom environments and lifestyle footage
Animation: Jitter for motion graphics and text animations, After Effects for more complex video editing and compositing
Localization: Careful typography work for Arabic, testing layouts with native speakers to ensure cultural authenticity
The workflow was iterative: I'd design concepts, test them against the brief's requirements (scroll-stopping? luxury feel? conversion-focused?), refine, and create variations. For the Arabic ads, I worked closely with the client to make sure everything felt natural.

Results & impact

The campaign gave Alma Home a comprehensive ad library they could test and scale across Meta platforms. The mix of static and motion ads allowed them to see what resonated most with their Kuwait audience.
The designs successfully balanced the three core requirements: they stopped scrolls with clean, elegant visuals; they communicated luxury through restraint and sophistication; and they drove action with clear benefits and compelling calls-to-action.
