Project Scope :

Aurelia Jewels is a company that sells women’s jewelry, The items are sold online only, and they want to create a website that sells the company's products​

The problem :

Users who want to purchase an item from an e-commerce website need to easily find and get the item in the cart without any problems

The goal :

The primary goal was to craft a website that reflected the elegance and sophistication of Aurelia Jewels' products. The site needed to showcase the product range effectively, and offer seamless navigation, A consistent use of the brand color, grey, was to be maintained throughout the website. And more importantly, deliver its users an easy, personalized, engaging shopping experience

The Design Process:

Defining the problem:

I started with Competitive Analysis by searching for e-commerce websites testing them and identifying Key Features
I conducted user interviews with potential users
Create and post User Surveys online

Interview goals:

I want to understand the experience of users during the process of shopping online
I want to understand the challenges people face when they purchase a certain item from an e-commerce website
I want to understand how shopping online could help improve the quality of their life
I want to understand what the users expect from an e-commerce website

Interview questions:

How often do you shop online
When you do what are your motivations for doing so
Describe your experience using one of the e-commerce websites
What challenges do you face? How does that make you feel

main learning:

Value Proposition:

The ability to search and filter products
Order tracking: Customers can view the status of their order and track the shipping
Recommended items
Best sellers list
Customer service
Add items to favorites
Shop more than one item at a time
different payment method

I created a Site map to understand the IA which forms the basis for the app.

The Branding :

In the process of designing the Aurelia Jewels e-commerce website, a comprehensive branding strategy was developed to establish a cohesive and memorable brand identity.
The vision board's essence guided the selection of imagery and visual elements throughout the ​website
A comprehensive sticker sheet was created to establish design guidelines that would be consistently applied across the website.

Landing Page:

The landing page serves as the virtual storefront, leaving a lasting impression on visitors. To achieve this, the following design elements were implemented:
A large, high-resolution image showcasing a stunning jewelry piece, immediately captures attention.
Minimalistic and elegant typography in shades of grey, maintaining brand consistency.
A prominent call-to-action (CTA) button encourages visitors to explore the product offerings.

Products Page:

The products page is the heart of the website, requiring an organized and visually appealing layout

Ordering Process:

The ordering process is a critical component of the Aurelia Jewels e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience for customers from product discovery to purchase completion​

Conclusion :

The UI/UX design for Aurelia Jewels has achieved its primary goal of creating an elegant and sophisticated online platform for its jewelry collection. I focused on showcasing products effectively, ensuring seamless navigation, and maintaining a consistent brand color palette.
