Project Overview

This project involved managing and scaling the social media presence of a local waxing salon operating in a highly competitive beauty and personal care market. The primary objective was to increase engagement, reach, and brand relatability, while positioning the salon as both professional and approachable.
At the start of the project, the account had inconsistent posting, low engagement, and content that did not resonate strongly with the target audience. My responsibility was to design and execute a content-led social media strategy that could drive fast, measurable growth without paid advertising.

Strategy Development

Instead of relying on a single content type, I created a balanced and scalable content mix designed to appeal to different audience behaviors on social media.
The strategy was built around five core content pillars:

Memes were used to tap into relatable experiences around waxing, self-care, and beauty routines. This helped humanize the brand and significantly increased shares and saves.

2. Informational and Educational Content

Short-form educational posts addressed common waxing questions, myths, aftercare tips, and pain management. These posts positioned the salon as an expert while building trust with new and existing followers.

3. Branded Content

Clean, on-brand posts were created to reinforce visual identity, highlight services, and maintain a professional aesthetic aligned with the salon’s offline experience.

4. Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Content

Behind-the-scenes posts showcased staff, daily operations, and real moments inside the salon. This content increased authenticity and helped followers feel connected to the brand.

5. Holiday and Trend-Based Posts

Seasonal and holiday content was used strategically to capitalize on trending topics and increase discoverability through timely engagement.
