JSONL to SQLite — Personal Python Demo

Personal demonstration using synthetic data; no client engagement.
A Python standard-library command-line tool imports JSONL records into a new SQLite database. It validates an exact id/name/city string schema, preserves Unicode and leading zeros, and uses parameterized SQL. Duplicate IDs or keys, missing or unknown fields and invalid records are rejected.
Records are written in one transaction to a temporary database. The completed database is published only after successful validation, without overwriting an existing destination, including a destination created during the import.
Verification: 10 automated tests passed. A three-record synthetic example was imported and checked with a SQLite SELECT query. Source code, tests, examples and run notes are available.
Scope: fixed schema, one complete input line in memory, stable local input and destination directory. Publication requires filesystem hard-link support. This is not a database migration tool or a guarantee of power-loss durability. The cover is an original explanatory diagram.
