Personal demonstration, no client engagement. All data shown here is synthetic.
A small Python command-line converter that reads UTF-8 CSV (including BOM), supports comma or custom delimiters, and writes readable JSON. Values remain strings, preserving identifiers such as 0012.
The tool rejects empty or duplicate headers and records with missing or extra cells. It validates the entire file before publishing the output and protects existing files unless --overwrite is explicitly requested.
Verified with 12 automated tests covering Unicode/BOM, leading zeros, malformed input, protected output and CLI errors. Source code, synthetic examples and run notes are available.
Scope: small local files; data is held in memory. No network calls, delimiter auto-detection or business schema inference.
