Amari Café & Bar: a premium, appetite-first website for a Chandigarh café

Overview

I designed and built the website for Amari Artisanal Café & Bar, a café and cocktail bar in Chandigarh known for specialty coffee, matcha, stone-oven pizza, and an in-house patisserie. The site turns the café’s “a little theatre in every course” personality into a scroll-led experience that makes visitors hungry, then makes it easy to book, call, or visit.
Role: Designer + Developer Tools: GSAT, Tailwind CSS, VS Code Live site: theamaricafe.com

The Challenge

Chandigarh has no shortage of cafés, and most café sites are a PDF menu and a phone number. Amari needed a website that felt as premium as the café itself: strong enough to stand out from competitors, quick to use on a phone, and discoverable when people search for “best café in Chandigarh.”

The Goals

Express a distinctive brand voice, not just list a menu
Make dishes look as good online as they do on the table
Turn visitors into bookings and walk-ins
Rank well for local searches (coffee, matcha, cocktails, breakfast, pizza)

Design Decisions

Copy and visuals work together. Short, confident lines sit beside each dish, so the menu reads like part of the brand.
Time-of-day menu structure matches how people decide what to eat.
Every section ends in an action, whether that’s viewing the menu, getting directions, or booking.
