Homespire Mortgage wanted to bring a little more fun and youthfulness to its business aesthetic. They needed a creative and engaging way to introduce their new Loan Officer/Mascot, Howie, a Muppet-inspired character. They wanted to do this through an 'intro' video on YouTube that would be predominantly for internal communication.

Working with the director and internal stakeholders, I came up with the concept for the video, which was around Howie's first day at the Homespire Mortgage office. I then wrote the script detailing Howie's adventures that day, including references to Sesame Street and appearances by members of the business.

We wanted to give Howie a more vibrant personality, turning this mild-mannered puppet into one of the team. We showed this through his journey from unknown newbie to embraced colleague. We also used this video to showcase the welcoming and friendly nature of the Homespire Mortgage team.

The video was well received by current employees at Homespire Mortgage and was, for almost two years, the most-viewed video on the company's YouTube page. More than three years since its release, it's still in the top 15 most-viewed videos on the channel.
