Coupl: Couples Relationship Quiz iOS App

Coupl is an iOS relationship app that helps couples build a shared view of their future through a warm, quiz-style onboarding experience. Two partners answer guided questions about the things that shape a life together: home, adventure, stability, and family.

The product turns big relationship conversations into a guided, approachable flow that both people can complete together.

Questions about children, long-term location, and future priorities carry real weight. Couples can postpone these conversations because the timing feels awkward or the questions can feel like a pass-or-fail compatibility test.

The app needed to make honest answers feel safe, clear, and shared. It also needed an onboarding experience that welcomes both partners, including the person who did not download the app first.

The experience begins with an animated otter-pair splash screen that sets a gentle, playful tone before the first question. Soft pastel gradients, hand-drawn illustration, and neo-brutalist cards give the app a human visual identity while keeping each choice easy to scan.

The flow then moves into a 6-question, progress-tracked quiz. A friendly guide character, short conversational copy, and visible progress help turn a potentially difficult conversation into a structured activity couples can take together.

Warm visual system. Soft gradients, illustrated characters, rounded components, and bold card layouts support an inviting mobile experience.

Transparent trial timeline. The subscription screen explains what users receive today, when the trial reminder arrives, and when billing begins. This gives users clear expectations before they continue.
