Local SEO for a small business

A small, local business in the health and wellbeing industry sought to increase their online visibility and drive more traffic to their website. They offered a range of services in their local area.

I was tasked with delivering a full scale SEO service, providing everything - content, technical and link building.

Starting with a full website audit, I was able to identify areas of the website that needed improvement. Additionally, I noticed they had a strong social media presence, particularly on Facebook and Youtube. I pitched ways we could incorporate that into the SEO strategy by doing things like embedding Youtube videos onto relevant webpages.

After identifying where we could improve the website, I put together a strategy to consistently deliver SEO optimised content, technical improvements and new backlinks, steadily over 12 months.

I front loaded the technical fixes to ensure nothing was holding back the content I was writing, and delivered new pages of content as well as optimising pages that needed it.

I used many strategies to build backlinks, such as leveraging existing relationships with other businesses, fixing broken backlinks, looking out for unlinked mentions, and general outreach. Additionally, some blog content was strategically positioned to give us a good chance of receiving natural links.

Over the 12 month period, we saw steady growth with traffic, conversions, backlinks, and number of top 10 keywords. This client then decided to continue work with me for another 12 months after being impressed with the initial growth.
