Self-initiated mock-up using synthetic data. No client commissioned this work. All names, records, workflow inputs, and outcomes are simulated. This demonstrates the proposed process and deliverables, not a completed client engagement or measured business result.
A seven-step client-reporting map that makes source completeness, review loops, owner approval, distribution, and archive state visible.
THE WORKFLOW PROBLEM
A synthetic checklist and simulated source register describe missing inputs surfacing late and implicit approval ownership. The source fixture does not establish how often either condition occurs or whether it causes delay or client impact.
WHAT I MAPPED
Close reporting period.
Collect local exports.
Validate source completeness.
Prepare report draft.
Complete reviewer check.
Record owner approval.
Distribute and archive report.
Primary flow: Period close -> Source collection -> Completeness check -> Draft -> Review -> Human approval -> Distribution and archive
Rework flow: Correction required -> Return to draft -> Review again
APPROVAL-AWARE HANDOFFS
Collection to drafting: Drafting waits for source disposition.
Draft to review: The reviewer returns or accepts the versioned draft.
Review to distribution: Owner approval remains a human decision.
Distribution to archive: The archive closes only after the distribution state is known.
TARGET ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS
Every required source has a visible completeness state.
Review and approval have named owners.
Distribution occurs only after approval is recorded.
OUTCOME BOUNDARY
This example demonstrates an approval-aware reporting map. It does not show live distribution, faster reporting, fewer corrections, real client data, measured savings, implementation, or a completed client result.
