Content writing involves creating written material for various purposes, such as blog posts, articles, social media posts, product descriptions, and more. The main aim is to provide value to the reader, whether that's through entertainment, education, or solving a problem they may have.

Here are some samples of my work on the Trees.app, which have helped me find my passion and love for content writing.

How do we do this? With action plans.

Plans are recommended to users by a machine-learning AI. They have a title, a brief description, and steps to deliver information relating to a student’s circumstances, lifestyle, and concerns.

As a content writing intern, I created plans about:

School resources

Networking

Throughout the internship, we went through trials with different universities and programs, like:

Saint Mary’s University (SMU) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Wrote an explainer video script for a potential Trees.app advertisement.

Created a list of puns for the company to incorporate in its branding.

Helped provide the foundation for the New Moms organization in the app.

Cleaned up the backend of the app, editing and adapting past plans to our new style.

Tested out the new admin panel for the app, providing feedback as I went along.

Received data/results from past trials to incorporate what we learned into our plans.

Provided weekly updates with the content team.
