Excerpt of a proofreading job

The whole world goes dark.
“What’s going on” Winnie say’s to herself.
It echoes in the darkness. A light appears in the distance. It looks like it's at the end of a tunnel, but she wasn’t in a tunnel before. She was with her family for her birthday just two seconds ago. Winnie had just turned 98, it was a really big deal to her family. They threw her a surprise party. She remembers being wheeled into her daughters house and being so surprised by all of her family. But then nothing, everything disappeared. The light seems to be calling to her.
‘Should I go towards it?’ She thinks to herself.
It seems like the light could be a mile away at least. She takes a cautious step forward. Another light much closer to her flashes to the left of her. She turns to see what it is. She sees her husband Robert’s face. That’s impossible. He passed away 15 years ago after a long struggle with cancer. She looks closer and sees herself in the light too, but she has to be 65 years younger in this light. It’s her wedding day she realizes as a tear slips down her face. She takes in her beautiful wedding dress, the flowers that took her months to pick out because they had to be perfect, the gorgeous 3 tier wedding cake. And of course her Robert. Standing at the end of the aisle. Waiting for her.
