I was invited to be a panelist at The Modern Day Entertainment Journalists Reporting on Entertainment, hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists during their Convention and Career Fair. With minimal time for preparation, I stepped up to provide valuable insights on freelancing in the entertainment realm. Brandon Pope served as the moderator, guiding discussions around challenges and opportunities faced by independent journalists.

The last-minute addition of the panelists turned out to be a stroke of luck for the organizer. The audience expressed surprise and interest in freelance journalism, with many approaching us after the panel to express their inspiration to pursue freelancing themselves.
