Lofi style Digital Art - Eren and Mikasa

This Lofi style Digital art, in which Eren and Mikasa from Attack on titan are the subjects. This is an art piece done for a Lofi Playlist to sleep.



Description

The Client wanted to keep the idea simple which is : The art should be an imaginary modern private space with Eren and Mikasa in it, such that their love for each other is clearly shown and there is absolute peace of mind (contrast to what happens in the actually story between the two) with the songs playing in the background.

Process

I did this art piece by splitting it into three stages

1. Creating the world
2. Bringing them to this world
3. Color grading

Creating the world

Based on the description, I thought about : what if the original characters both have a lovely peaceful dream where they are simply close and together, cut off from the world and soft music is playing around in the background. I started with the room detailing , brought the night mood to the scene. Wanted to add subtle things about the story of Attack on Titan and keep them clear in the background.

Bringing them to this world

This was slightly challenging even though I had the basic idea of the final picture. I wanted to bring in the love element more strongly, when they are sleeping. Also there is certain amount of sadness involved in the actual story. I tried to bring that emotion more or less clearly in their faces. After several thought process and expression testing. I came up with this.

Color Grading
