Okay, I’ll be truthful with you – this week has been a fucking whirlwind. But in a good way; I have felt incredibly inspired, and the number of dots that have seemingly connected is pretty wild.
First and foremost, Doing Stuff is no more. Instead, we’re moving forward as Consumer to Creator – which I believe better reflects what this project is all about. The reason I started this was to explore ideas that surround living a fulfilling life on your own terms.
Of course, finding ways that allow you to get your work done more effectively is one of those. But only focusing on that would mean ignoring all of the other things that contribute to living a more meaningful life.

So, what are we going to talk about going forward?

Solopreneurship and productivity – and the technology associated with both of these – are still two core elements. However, we are also going to explore ideas in all kinds of other areas. Some of these include:
Bringing your creative ideas to life.
The technology and software that will help you bring your creative ideas to life (e.g., Adobe Lightroom).
Books and podcasts that have had a positive impact on my life.
Writing and photography as creative disciplines.
Adopting good habits.
Lifestyle design.
Personal finance and managing your business expenses.
From time to time, you will also see content associated with travel and living abroad. Similarly, I will also share some of my photography projects – in the hope that they inspire you to go out and make your own ideas come to life.
Basically, I’m going to explore my curiosity and see where it leads to. The idea of not having a niche is something I’ve toyed with for a while; if I’m being honest, I have so many interests that it only makes sense to explore all of them.
Plus, everyone tells you to find a niche. And if everyone’s doing something, you should probably think about exploring alternatives.
I am going to create the type of content that I would like to consume myself. And by doing that, I hope that others looking for the same thing – my tribe, if you like – will also find value in what I share.

The podcast has expanded to other platforms…

If you’ve followed the podcast so far, you’ll know that we’ve only really been active on Spotify. Now, however, things have changed.
We’re still on Spotify, but you can also find us on Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts
Speaking of podcasts, we’ve got a new episode for this week. If you’re a university student, you’ll find this one particularly helpful. We talk about why you should freelance while studying and the benefits of doing so. Mainly that you won’t have to deal with dickheads in customer service anymore. You’ll also, most importantly, learn how to find freelance jobs while studying.

Some pockets of wisdom for this week…

Routine can make you fragile. Many people, including myself, fall off the wagon if something goes wrong – and it can take much longer to recover than if we just got on with things. A good idea is to fill your day with interesting things and know that you’ll get around to them eventually. – Mark Bell talking on the Modern Wisdom podcast
When you have interesting things going on in your life, the bad stuff doesn’t tempt you. You don’t want to spend hours scrolling on Instagram and TikTok, nor are you interested in poisoning your liver on a Friday night. Explore ideas and try to fill as much of your day with things that bring you as much joy as possible.

One more thing.

Oh, and I also need to give a shoutout to Dan Koe. I discovered his YouTube channel last weekend, and he basically says what I have been thinking for a while. His channel has grown quite a lot recently, and I recommend subscribing to him if you’re interested in creativity and entrepreneurship. His long-form videos are excellent for breaking down topics into something that’s easy to understand.
That’s all for this week; see you in the next one!
Kind regards,
Danny
