Kroko is a new social media app that provides people with a safe space to express themselves. Users love Kroko. They spend a ton of time on it. But with investors, it was hard to get past the “another social network” impression.
Kroko needed a pitch deck that would immediately communicate the importance of the problem and get investors interested in the startup.
To create a new pitch deck, I started by conducting market research, and then:
identified the social problem to which investors could relate,
showed the painfulness of the ways people try to solve it (proving the necessity of a better solution),
distilled Kroko's solution into one clear sentence,
wrote other slides such as traction, competitive landscape, business model, team, investment proposition, etc.
I also wrote a founder letter, a manifesto addressed both to customers and investors. The letter inspires people to try Kroko out and gets investors curious to learn more.
