Yespark facilitates month-to-month parking rentals for individuals and businesses. Upon joining, the company lacked a defined design process and operated with a predominantly engineering-driven culture. Over the course of one year, I played a key role in reshaping the company's DNA by introducing a comprehensive design approach, fostering a culture centered around design principles and methodologies in product development.

Hello, Design System

The initial focus was on implementing a comprehensive Design System on Figma, addressing existing inconsistencies throughout the product. This involved conducting an audit and diagnostic of the current website, creating a Design System from scratch, and transforming illustrations and icons into functional components. I took the lead in evangelizing the Design System to the entire team, including product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals.

Architecture & User Journeys

Furthermore, I was entrusted with reimagining the user journey for key features on multiple occasions, aiming to enhance intuitiveness and user-friendliness. This encompassed a redesign of the architecture for the new mobile app and a thoughtful reconsideration of the user flow for the assistance feature.

Evangelising UX

In the realm of UX and UI design, my objective was to showcase the capabilities of Figma to the engineering team. I crafted various screens utilizing Auto-Layout and incorporated responsive designs that leveraged all components from the new Design System. The process included a thorough benchmark and competitive overview, wireframing with full auto-layout practices, testing the Design System on real pages, and a redesign of critical pages such as the Parking page, Search, and Checkout.
