Website Design & Positioning for AI Stratup

Opulence is an AI platform for construction. They needed a website that made a technical, unfamiliar product (AI voice agents for builders) feel concrete, trustworthy, and worth a demo, to an audience that's skeptical of software. I led the website design and positioning, from core message to high-fidelity UI across desktop and mobile.

The challenge

Home builders don't buy AI. They buy less time lost to admin and more jobs won. The hard part, the product did several things (voice agent, project management, consulting), and trying to say all of it at once would've left visitors confused about what Opulence actually is. The site needed one sharp hook, without hiding the depth behind it.

Positioning: one hook, then the ecosystem

I led with the single most tangible, painful problem the product solves: "AI voice agent that books quotes for home builders." Not "AI construction software", a specific, visual outcome a builder feels immediately (missed calls = lost bids). The supporting line drove it home: stop losing bids and burning time.
From that hook, the positioning opened up into the full ecosystem, voice automation, AI project management, and consulting, framed around the builder's real workflow, not feature lists. The audience was deliberately specific: home builders managing $1M+ projects, so the right buyer felt it was built for them.

The design approach

The goal was to make AI feel credible and grounded, not gimmicky:
A confident, modern visual system, clean layouts, a strong blue brand gradient, and generous structure that reads as premium and trustworthy.
Custom diagrams and product visuals that show the voice agent and project tools working, instead of describing them abstractly.
A clear narrative flow, hook → who it's for → the three product pillars → proof of work → why-us comparison → CTA.
Fully responsive, every section rethought for mobile, since builders live on their phones in the field.
A dedicated product page ("Build smarter, not harder") going deeper on quote booking, real-time updates, and field data capture, each tied to a real jobsite scenario.

Design system

I built the foundation the whole site runs on, a complete design system with defined color styles, typography scales, and reusable components. This kept every page visually consistent, made the design easy to extend as new sections were added, and gave the team a clean, scalable handoff rather than a set of one-off screens.

Before → After

The original site led with a vague "AI Solutions for Construction" headline, dense unformatted copy, and raw video thumbnails standing in for product proof, leaving visitors unsure what Opulence actually did.
I rebuilt it around a single sharp hook "AI voice agent that books quotes for home builders", a clear top-to-bottom narrative, custom product visuals, real social proof, and a cohesive design system.
The result, a site that explains the product in seconds and makes the case to book a demo.

My role

End-to-end: positioning, messaging, UX, high-fidelity UI, responsive design, and a complete design system (color styles, text styles, and components) built in Figma.
