Design problem:
Registrar was a brand new product in its early stages of development. A team of five software engineers, a product manager, and a QA analyst had already been building it for a few months, but no product designs had been created for the platform’s user interface and experience. As members of the admissions and finance teams began using Registrar’s first features to carry out enrollment and finance tasks, they needed a product experience that supported their workflows.
Goals:
Design the user interface and experience for creating, managing, and paying Flatiron School invoices. Establish the initial UX architecture and navigation for the Registrar product.
My role:
I worked as the sole product designer on a squad of eight while partnering with the product manager and lead software engineer. I performed user research and usability testing and designed the workflows, user interface, and user experience.
