BACKGROUND Baan Sri Dha is a collection of traditional Lanna-style teak homes near Chiang Mai's Old City, operating as an exclusive Airbnb. The houses are built from old teak wood, and the owners have spent years restoring and preserving them as a way to share authentic Lanna culture with guests. It's more than a place to stay. The property includes a kitchen hall, herb garden, and a garden-to-table cooking experience hosted in English. Everything about the space is rooted in heritage, from the architecture to the food to the way guests move through the grounds.

This isn't a generic Airbnb. The owners put real effort into preserving Chiang Mai's Lanna culture through the space, the food, and the way guests experience the property. There's a genuine story here about family, tradition, and keeping something alive that's slowly disappearing. The website needed to carry that weight without feeling heavy. It had to communicate the cultural depth of the experience while still working as a booking tool that converts visitors into guests.

THE APPROACH I designed the website from scratch with art direction that reflects the property's character. Custom hand-drawn sketch illustrations of the grounds, buildings, and Thai architectural details were woven throughout the site, giving it a handcrafted feel that mirrors the home itself. 

The Baan Sri Dha geometric logo pattern was used as a repeating background texture across sections, tying the brand identity into the layout. Photography was art-directed to emphasize warmth, natural materials, and the lived-in quality of the space. The typography pairs a classic serif with an italic script to echo the mix of tradition and personality. Each page, from the stay details to the cooking experience to the about section, was designed as its own chapter in the story rather than a list of features. The result is a site that feels like stepping onto the property: warm, welcoming, and quietly luxurious.
