Client:

Ecommerce store owner from Slovenia, who has both offline and online stores selling equine products.

Challenge:

Client was already doing some email marketing using Mailchimp. Had no strategy that would constantly bring results and was sending emails on a whim. As a result - unpredictable and unstable profits from email marketing efforts. At this point, client did not view email marketing as the most profitable marketing channel out there (which it is - $36 on every $1 spent is the undeniable statistic). And was not sure if it was a good fit for his store after all.

Solution:

I wanted to show the client that email marketing, when done right, can bring great results in terms of revenue, customer retention and ability to test any offers with the owned audience (Let's face it, this is the ONLY channel, where you own your audience. With those blocks and tribulations from advertising platforms, all you can rely on is a CSV file with the data of your email subscribers). And so it was clear to me that among all those potential benefits, revenue was the first best thing I needed to show my client to cheer him up. And I needed to make it fast...
As the fastest way to see revenue from email marketing is automations (flows), I offered my client to change email service provider from Mailchimp to Klaviyo, as it is the best option for ecommerce.
Next step was to create automation strategy that will not only generate revenue, but also develop relationships with the customers, educating them on the brand.
After that was the tech part of implementation this strategy into Klaviyo.
To reignite and launch subscribers into automation, I sent two campaigns to both Engaged and Unengaged subscribers.
And so the ball started rolling. In a short span of time, all of the core flows were already converting within a week of publishing them live. In addition to that, we were getting good numbers in terms of opens, clicks, and sales conversions. Now, there was time to analyse and optimize based on the results from A/B tests I was running inside the automations.
By the end of the month correct email marketing strategy yielded 30% of revenue from automations (flows) alone.
Which was a pleasant surprise for the client, as this kind of result he was not expecting at all:

Did not expect to get +30% in profit from email marketing in the first month of working with Valya. Now I see why trying to do my emails alone was not a good idea. Could not recommend Valya enough!

As you can see, email marketing is a great way to have constant cash flow when done right.
