Synerise is a company from Poland that started in 2013. They have a "Growth as a Service" platform with tools to analyze and improve a business. Their dashboards help with marketing, business insights, and revenue management.

Scope

Through this very impactful time for Synerise Design System team I started to use all necessary tools to build, design, and also develop.

Colloid is a React.js - based system with all basic components and also much more advanced in a mechanical way related elements.

Colloid has basic atoms such as buttons, form, icons but also you can find much more interactive components like pickers, filters, drawers, and tables with all prepared settings sidebars as well. Our task was to design components but also define all theirs props and anatomies as well.

Problem Statement

Inefficiency: Design elements were created individually in Photoshop, leading to slow design processes and longer delivery times.

Inconsistency: The lack of a centralized system made it difficult to maintain design consistency across the product.

Performance Issues: Using Photoshop for UI elements caused performance issues, hindering the user experience.

Development Bottleneck: Developers lacked access to a dedicated source of pre-built and reusable UI components, leading to slower implementation times for new features.

Assumptions

A design system is a set of rules and technical instructions for the visual and technical aspects of each digital product or website. The design system is also a collection of the assets and components used in each of the processes of product development in a scalable way.

Moreover, it serves as a repository for assets and components utilized across all stages of product development, ensuring scalability and uniformity throughout the entire process.
