This client was in the process of rebuilding her business and wanted to document the journey publicly by building a personal brand through video.
She had a powerful story and a clear voice but needed a visual system on her videos to support consistency and growth on social platforms.
The Challenge
I have a clear brand. I need help translating it into an engaging video style.
As a founder entering a more creative, story-driven content format, she faced a few key challenges:
🎥 No established visual language for her video content.
⏰ Limited time to experiment or over-direct each video.
🧠 A strong narrative, but no system to support it visually on video.
The Direction
The goal was to design an editing and visual system that would:
Support a long-term video series about rebuilding as a founder
Make content easier to produce consistently
Enhance storytelling without overpowering it
Reduce the need for heavy creative direction over time
The Execution
I approached this as a foundational project.
For the first video, I:
Identified where b-roll, photos, and pauses would strengthen the story
Designed a repeatable editing style.
Balanced engaging edits with space for her message to lead
The focus wasn’t perfection — it was creating a system that could scale.
The Results
The content resonated deeply.
As her storytelling and visual consistency evolved together:
Her audience grew from ~2.4K to 13.2K followers
Engagement increased across her video content (including one viral video with over 500K views)
The editing process became faster and more intuitive
While the growth was driven by her honesty and story, the editing helped that story travel further.
