DOMO: website exploration for a modular housing developer

Overview

DOMO is a modular real estate developer that develops, owns and rents multifamily smart buildings. Modules are prefabricated off-site, trucked in and assembled into a building in about three weeks.
We explored a new website for DOMO that explains the model to investors, partners and future tenants: standardised modular buildings that make housing faster and more affordable to build.

Round 1: first directions

Three hero concepts, from a bold orange split screen to a wireframe-to-built house, plus card layouts for how modules are prefabricated off-site and assembled on-site.

Hero animation

We storyboarded a scroll-driven hero where the building assembles module by module, from an empty frame to a finished apartment block, so visitors see the product in one motion.

Round 2: refined direction

The isometric building sits at the centre of the hero, half finished and half in wireframe. Full-bleed photography tells the off-site and on-site story. The amenities section leads with hard numbers, a 67% reduction in electrical utility costs and 24/7 access through the DOMO app, and the four development steps run as a clear vertical process.

Alternative layout

A split-screen version with a left-aligned hero, side-by-side photography and a horizontal process timeline.
