Exploration of Space, Distance, and Stillness

Overview

This poster series is a study in visual contrast — Each piece reflects a different phase of internal and external exploration, combining typography, spatial symbolism, and texture to evoke emotion through design minimalism.

Concept

The series draws inspiration from existential design language, where text and form coexist in tension. Using bold typographic hierarchy, geometric forms, and grain textures, the posters explore how design can communicate mood, silence, and meaning through restrained visual noise.

VOID —

The space between thought and creation. A meditation on nothingness and the beauty of absence. Monochrome contrast and spatial distortion guide the viewer toward introspection.

OUTSIDE —

Observation and awareness. The intersection of identity and environment. The warm tones and fragmented imagery suggest curiosity and distance, a reminder that perception defines our outer world.

CALM —

The resolution. A visual breathing space emphasizing stillness, order, and mental balance. Neutral palettes, structured typography, and subtle alignment express peace through precision.

Design Approach

Typography: Helvetica Neue & modular sans-serif type systems to achieve visual clarity and emotional neutrality.
Color Palette: High-contrast monochrome tones with occasional deep hues to heighten atmosphere.
Composition: Grid-based layouts that play with proportion and negative space.
Textures: Film grain and analog-inspired overlays to evoke depth and tactility.

Creative Intent

This project aims to merge graphic design and emotional storytelling — transforming simple shapes and text into reflections of inner and outer realities.
The series invites the viewer to slow down, to look closer, and to find meaning in stillness, repetition, and void.
