In this project, I worked closely with the client to expand her website in a way that not only reflected her brand but also created a better experience for her patients.
We began by reviewing the existing website to identify opportunities for improvement. From there, I focused on three main areas: accessibility, copywriting, and visuals.
First, I implemented ADA compliance updates, ensuring the website could be accessed and used by all visitors, including those with disabilities. This included improving navigation, adjusting colour contrast, optimising typography for readability, and adding image alt text and descriptive labels. These changes made the site more inclusive and aligned with accessibility standards.
Next, I refined the marketing copy across the site. Through research and collaboration, I clarified the messaging so it spoke directly to the patient’s needs, built trust, and highlighted the client’s expertise. The revised copy was conversational yet professional, helping patients feel seen, understood, and reassured when visiting the site.
I also worked on selecting and recommending images that truly connect with patients. The new visuals were chosen to reflect warmth, professionalism, and relatability, making the site feel more human and approachable. Combined with the refreshed copy, the imagery supported a deeper emotional connection with the audience.
Throughout the project, we collaborated through two structured review rounds and maintained unlimited communication via a dedicated Slack channel, which made it easy to share updates, get feedback, and refine details quickly.
The final result was an expanded website that:
Met ADA accessibility standards for a more inclusive experience
Featured clearer, patient-focused messaging that built trust
Used imagery designed to connect emotionally with visitors
Strengthened the client’s overall brand presence online
This project not only enhanced the look and feel of the site but also ensured it was functional, inclusive, and positioned to create stronger connections with patients.
