The client. Bormioli Pharma is an international Italian company focused on manufacturing medicine containers. It started as a glass manufacturer and through innovation and materials research it forayed into the pharmaceutical packaging industry. (contest-based project)

Objective. The objective of this project is to develop innovative medicine packaging that attends to users' needs by redesigning the containers' lids. Also, it aims to reinvent the company's market presence.

Solution. Design of a smart lid with an alarm that reminds patients and caregivers of the time of the next dose. The lid is connected to an app with a QR code and an RFID band ensures that each lid is paired with the proper medicine bottle. For this project, the UI of the lid screen and app was also designed around caregivers' needs.
