The client. Tribute to Mexican designer Andrés Lhima, whose work aims to celebrate Mexican customs and traditions in a fun way in daily life.

Objective. The objective of this project is to reintroduce Mexican traditional toys, that have been displaced by new technologies from popular culture and relegated to design decorations that display dedicated hand craftsmanship.

Solution. Valerio is a reinterpretation of the traditional Mexican toy valero as a kitchenware element that may be used to serve sauces or to play as a valero. The bright colors and exposed wood textures intend to spark joy in home environments. Just like valero used to be a game that gathered friends, Valerio intends to make every meal a memorable experience.
