As a UX Designer at The Pitchery, https://pitchery.ai/home, I developed an AI-driven B2B solution to streamline the fundraising process for startup founders. By leveraging existing backend infrastructure, I designed and implemented an AI system capable of generating tailored pitch decks based on founder input and market trends. This innovative tool significantly reduced the time and effort required for founders to create compelling investment proposals.

Background

In a competitive capital environment, founders and entrepreneurs often struggle to get their ideas off the ground. To increase funded projects, we worked on a product that would allow founders to receive a pitch, organize their files, and redraft as needed

Overview

A self-service product that allows users to create crafted pitches.

The Problem

How do we create a product that is both scalable, self-service, while still providing a concierge service?
The challenge was to work within the client's need of freeing up their time to reinvest back into their business and of meetings users' needs of a faster, less disparate, pitch generation process with a sense of guidance.
How do we balance meeting user needs of communication, coaching, & involvement while meeting stakeholders' needs of having more time to reinvest back into their business?

Discover

Before diving into design, I conduct a thorough UX/UI analysis of the existing product.
This involves conducting five generative research interviews and one ethnographic interview to gain a deep understanding of the current system, identify gaps and pain points, and observe how users navigate multiple systems to accomplish their goals.
By starting with this research, I ensure that the new product aligns with users' needs and addresses their challenges

Design Details

Wireframe: Overall product layout and structure. We knew for v.1 the product would offer the most essential features to meet needs of setting their bids, purchasing a product, and getting sellers to compete for more customers.
Styles and Design Systems: We created completely original components to build out the design system.
Design: Once wireframes were reviewed by the larger team we designed individual screens for all cases and instances. We followed a straightforward pace for this project and as the product designer I was deeply involved in feedback, interviews, collaboration with cross-functional teams, UX Reviews, and requirements. The main principle we followed was intuitive use and ease of navigation.
Prototype: To ensure accurate and comfortable showcase of the designs, we prototyped each functionality, including all actions and states.
Iterate: Feedback from users > feedback from business team > update designs > approval > feedback and questions from development team > design notes for handoff 

Testing

Led user interviews (generative and ethnographic).
Additionally ran user testing sessions (moderated, remote) with different user groups, gathered feedback and synthesized to future stories.

Outcome

The client team was very satisfied with the product and we had great feedback and reactions during user testing. Users felt that the product was easy to navigate and were excited for future versions and to see how the product continues to develop for v.2 and v.3
