The Challenge: Designing a minimalist site where the shoes were the highlight of every page. The client wanted a small 'pop' of colour that would match their main shop's branding. The goal was to have as few pages as possible where the client could highlight 7-10 styles at a time.

The discovery process is my initial call with the clients to determine the full scope of their needs as well as basic information such as branding and user profiles. From this call, I create general user flowcharts and prepare a sitemap.

User info provided by the client: The user profiles for this project were already researched as part of the parent branding. Further research complied for the slightly altered branding and website inspiration was reviewed with the client.

The client's main style needs: 1. clean, simple lines, 2. no bright white, 3. high contrast on everything without losing the softness of the brand.

The design process has two main components: wireframing and prototyping. Addict's Closet needed only a few designs created for their minimalist site. Since the brand focused on minimalism, the home page doubled as the storefront, and products are added as part of a carousel to keep all the visuals clean and simple.
