This was an industrial group project based on the paper packaging industry.
The aim was to design a unique paper bag template that comprised of
minimum no. of folds and distortions in order to reduce the overall machine
complexity and size.
One of my major responsibilities was to aid in the design of an innovative
template, which required only two major folds and one uniform gluing
operation for complete bag production in under 5 seconds. The machine was
thus designed and manufactured to meet these requirements resulting a
significantly low floor area (less than 50%) and energy requirement (less than 40%) for machine operation
